Why the skin must be completely dry

Completely dry skin is one of the key conditions for comfortable and effective use of a long-lasting antiperspirant.

Short answer

Moisture interferes with even application and may increase the likelihood of stinging and irritation. Before using OKEY, the skin must be not merely towel-dried, but completely dry.

What moisture changes

Even after using a towel, a small amount of moisture can remain in skin folds. On a damp surface, the product spreads less predictably.

For antiperspirants containing aluminium salts, dryness is also important for reducing the likelihood of irritation. That is why evening application and dry skin always go together.

Give your skin time after a shower

Pat the area dry with a soft towel and wait until the skin has dried completely. The detailed OKEY instructions give 15–20 minutes after water procedures as a guide.

Do not rub the skin vigorously or use hot air: the goal is to remove moisture gently without causing irritation.

How to check that the skin is ready

The skin should not feel cool from evaporating water, sticky, or damp to the touch. If you are unsure, wait a few more minutes.

In summer or in a humid room, you can use a cool stream of air from a distance, but do not overheat the skin.

If the product has already been applied to damp skin

If you notice significant burning, wash the product off with water and let the skin recover. Try again on another evening, making sure the skin is dry and using a thin layer.
